Uzbekistan to use mosque loudspeakers for emergency alertsUzbekistan has launched an emergency alert system supported by the United Nations Development Programme, using mosque loudspeakers to notify residents. Implemented in 272 mosques across seven regions, it is expected to reach around 6.5 million people and operate during mobile and power outages.
